Mizoram University (MZU) Online

Mizoram University (MZU) was established on 2 July 2001 under the Mizoram University Act, 2000 passed by the Parliament of India. It is recognized as a Central University managed by the Government of India. The university is located in Aizawl, which is the capital city of Mizoram.

The university offers education in various academic fields. It has different schools and departments. These cover areas such as humanities, natural sciences, physical sciences, management, education, engineering, social sciences, journalism, forestry, medical sciences, and other related disciplines. Online Education System

The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE).at MZU delivers online degree courses ,which are fully conducted through digital platforms.These programmes are conducted in online mode. They are suitable for students who cannot attend regular on-campus classes.

Skill Enhancement Courses

From February 2024, MZU Online introduced skill enhancement courses. These courses follow the guidelines of NEP 2020. They are short-term programmes conducted in self-paced mode. Students can complete them within the given time period.

Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate Programmes: 10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognized board.
Postgraduate Programmes: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university

Admission Process

Admission is conducted in online mode. Applicants need to complete the form and submit the necessary documents. Admission is confirmed after verification and payment of the prescribed fee.

Academic Support

Students receive academic support through the LMS. Faculty members conduct online classes and provide guidance. Study materials and academic notices are shared on the platform. Students are required to complete assignments and appear for examinations as per the academic schedule.
